About Me

After teaching German and Spanish for 37 years at Northern Kentucky University, I have retired and can dedicate more of my time to writing. I started composing poetry in 2008 after having thoroughly enjoyed a writing prompt in a devotional book. My first poem was published in 2009. I have been so fortunate on my journey to have met many very supportive writers and to have read some incredible writing. I am happy to share some of my work with you.

I am currently involved in two writing projects. One is a collaborative effort to write poetry inspired by paintings of Andrea Kowch, a contemporary American artist. The other is a collection of "snapshot poems" I write about my grandson. In the poems I am trying to capture in 49 syllables what a picture can't show.
